IPv6 Day 06/06/06

Today a milestone day for IPv6 protocol, by taking the “6Bone” experimental network out of Internet. This network acted as a back-bone connector back-bone for IPv6 users on Internet for its communication, which routes IPv6 packets tunneled over IPv4 network. By phasing out this network, the IPv6 protocols are now be able to communicate natively as IPv4 protocols on Internet. The famous 6Bone prefix 3FFE::/16 will no more be used and it’ll be returned to IANA for its future allocation. Welcome to the world of native IPv6 networking!
